Reports indicate the suspect drank a cup of ganja tea, after which he became aggressive and hysterical. Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Rohan Elliott, head of the St Ann Division, confirmed that the man’s sudden violent behaviour forced the children’s mother to flee the house for safety and seek help at the Moneague Police Station.
Police Search Leads to Grim Discovery
Responding officers rushed to the home but found no trace of the toddlers. The following morning, investigators made a gruesome discovery—the lifeless bodies of both children were hidden in nearby bushes. Bloodstains were also found inside one of the rooms, pointing to the violent struggle that ended their lives.
Suspect Now in Custody
The accused father was taken into custody shortly after the incident was discovered. He remains under interrogation as detectives build their case. Police confirmed that the 1-year-old victim was his biological son, while the 3-year-old was his stepchild.
